Neurotech Prize – Call for Applicants

EIT Health is currentyl offering an opportunity for start-ups. In collaboration with Biogen they offer an open innovation programme called neurotechprize.

The objective of the neurotechprize is to identify and accelerate the maturity and/or market access of the most promising solutions and technologies addressing the challenge of Alzheimer’s disease, with a special focus in Germany. The most innovative projects can earn prizes of €100k for the winning solution and €50k for the runner-up. Selected teams will also gain access to the 3-month acceleration programme.

As populations continue to age rapidly, Alzheimer’s disease (AD) has become one of the most pressing concerns for healthcare in the 21st century and a real societal burden. We are searching for simple tech to deep tech solutions that can help improve the quality of life for those impacted by Alzheimer’s disease.

Four main areas of intervention that projects applying should be targeting were designed: 1) Accelerating the diagnostic pathway; 2) Improving disease monitoring; 3) Easing burden on patients and 4) Maintaining quality of life. More detailed information can be found on in the Call Document.

Applications from start-ups operating already or seeking to enter the German market and targeting the challenge of Alzheimer’s disease from all around the globe are appreciated. Teams of minimum two people, incorporated start-ups, and non-incorporated teams are eligible to submit their entry to the programme.
